A Document Controller is a professional who maintains organized and updated documents for a business using document management software, uploading or scanning paper documents, obtaining documents, and ensuring proper and secure storage.
Job Responsibilities
- Process one or more document types through all procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure that pre-established document control requirements (e.g., which document numbering system will be used; how many and which signatures will be required for certain approvals, etc.) are satisfactorily met throughout the duration of the project.
- Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required.
- Enters data and produces reports using other standard office automation or department-specific computer applications
Job Requirements
- Diploma/ Associate Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of overall document control experience of which at least 3+ years experience should be in UAE.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Highly organized, pro-active and can work with minimal supervision.
