The Paralegal Assistant is responsible for the intake of documents submitted for registration, processing submissions and document administration. This position provides information to the public and assists them in navigating Registries. Corresponding with the public, law firms, financial institutions and other stakeholders is an important aspect of the position. The incumbent must be a team player, flexible and have good interpersonal/communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent’s time is mostly spent in the sitting position with frequent opportunity to move, and they are required to lift heavy index books and supplies on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:

  • The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities that are critical to this position include.
  • Advanced knowledge of legal administration and legal assistance duties and procedures
  • Knowledge of electronic registrations systems and computer literacy
  • Basic mathematical skills, data entry and computer experience
  • Good organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Ability to collect, balance and reconcile revenue
