Responsibilities:
- · Management of vendor performance
- · Issue and completion of RFP’s.
- · the creation and execution of category strategies- Demand Analysis, Supply Analysis, execution, performance management
- · Lead negotiations
- · Execution of PR to PO
- · Execution of contracts
- · Providing input into budget pricing
- · Achieving cost reduction
- · Supporting innovation
- · Ensure compliance to competitive bidding and other procurement policies
- Major Categories
- · Coffee
- · Tissues
- · Pasta
- · Frozen Vegetables
- Other Administrative activities:
- · Manage PR’s received through online system
- · Align with Procurement Policy on competitive bidding
- · Where not under contract, obtain quotes
- · Execute translation to PO
- · Assist in resolving Invoice/Payment issues
- · Assist clearance department on managing documentation requirements, and follow up on
- demurrage claims
- · Manage all other claims with suppliers
- · Mange contract expiry, through renewal or tendering.
Qualifications:
- · Bachelor degree in Business/Engineering/Sciences.
- · CIPS or Post Graduate certifications in supply chain and procurement favorable
- · 5 years functional experience within procurement, of which at least 3 years with category ownership of Private Label / Finished goods sourcing
- · FMCG or Supermarket experience
- Functional Knowledge:
- · Experience in strategic sourcing – leading tenders and negotiations
- · Experience in category strategy, developing and pitching recommendations for supply solutions
- · Experience in managing packaging categories a must
- · Experience in managing ingredients categories
- · Sound commercial acumen
- · Budgeting and costing
