Description:

As Conservation Officer, you are required to plan, control, develop and regularly monitor the conservation practices and ecological work within Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DCCR) (225km2) ensuring the restoration and well being of the flora, and fauna which includes wildlife and domestic animals and the general maintenance and upkeep of related facilities. Monitor and ensure the Eco-tourism and agricultural ventures permitted in the DDCR and follow and adhere to good conservation practices.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Ecology, Biological Sciences, Animal Nutrition or Veterinary Science
• Minimum experience or 2-3 years preferably in the conservation field, Game lodges or in depth animal husbandry.
• Knowledge of ecological and environmental conditions of the desert.
• Environmental assessment with regards to ecological zones, vegetation and sustainability.
• Excellent supervisory and man management skills required.
