Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining a data platform: You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a data platform that meets the needs of your organization. This involves selecting the appropriate technology stack, ensuring scalability, and optimizing performance.
- Managing data governance: You will need to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and secure. This involves establishing policies, procedures, and standards for data management, as well as monitoring compliance.
- Managing data integration: You will need to ensure that data from various sources can be integrated into the data platform. This involves designing and implementing data pipelines, data transformations, and data integration workflows.
- Managing data storage and retrieval: You will need to ensure that data can be stored and retrieved efficiently. This involves selecting appropriate storage technologies, optimizing data retrieval, and ensuring data consistency.
- Managing data analytics: You will need to ensure that data can be analyzed effectively. This involves designing and implementing data analytics workflows, selecting appropriate analytics tools, and ensuring that analytics results are accurate and reliable.
- Collaborating with stakeholders: You will need to work closely with various stakeholders, including business users, data analysts, and data scientists, to understand their data needs and ensure that the data platform meets those needs.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the Banking & Finance industry, along with at least 5 years of professional experience in Data Warehouse and Analytics
- Exposure to Modern Data Warehouse Architecture and Analytics platforms
- Working experience with ETL tool, preferably Informatica
- Experience working with Hadoop or HANA, and Hadoop-related tools e.g. Spark, Scqoop
- Governance including a glossary, metadata, data quality, master data management, and data lifecycle management
