Responsibilities of Director of Pharmacy

• Oversees all Pharmacy Operations within NMC group.
• Supervise and lead Pharmacy Operations managers. Provides expert advice and Leadership for the Investigation for Medication-related significant events, complaints and queries.
• Supervise the group P&T committee and group Formulary.
• Manages complex facts or situations requiring Analysis, Interpretation, Management of conflicting views/opinions and comparison of options. Ensures systems are in place to respond in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Liaise and assist with the Pharmaceutical procurement team. Provide leadership & guidance as needed (procurement should still sit with the VP of Procurement).
• Work directly with Pharmacy managers and Pharmacy process issues.

What you’ll do

• Ensure correct ordering process at unit level.
• Look at Prescription leakage reduction measures.
• Liaison point with IT on Pharmacy related issues.
• Liaison point on Insurance Negotiations.
• Identifies issues of clinical risk within the medication management services.
• Ensures all incidents and areas of risk are followed up, and risk issues are communicated back to Prescribers and/or Administrators of medication accordingly.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve Pharmacy services, such as implementing new Technology, improving patient education, and enhancing medication safety protocols.
