Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management. The District Representative is expected to build relationships starting at site/operational level all the way to the C and V suits.
  • Develop relationships and effectively communicate value delivered by Nalco Water with the client’s executive leadership for operations, process technology, and environmental stewardship.
  • Analyzes customer business pain, operational challenges, and requirements, then set strategic plans recommending solutions with Company programs. Keeps management informed through regular activity reports and communications.
  • Achieves annual sales targets by working with your Manager and cross-functional teams to establish selling strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to guide and lead sales and service teams within the regional organization into creating value with the customer
  • Build a culture of partnership based on Win-Win outcome at various customer levels
  • Negotiate framework agreements (including pricing and incentives)
  • Complete long-term (3 years) and short-term (1 year) Business plan including detailed activities at all relevant levels.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Good Sales and Service Practice in the team.
  • Supports and is committed to Nalco’s Safety and Quality Process and the guiding principles of Responsible Care®, and its six Codes of Management Practice.
  • Services assigned accounts to maintain programs KPIs, Business Process related documentation, proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering is required
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated business management experience.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience in retaining and developing Key Accounts
  • 5+ years of experience and understanding of the Mining (Alumina Refinery) and Primary Metals (Aluminium Smelter) market space and applications with an ability to deliver Nalco value story to the customer.
  • Proactive and forward thinking.
  • Autonomous self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation.
  • Fluency in English
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
