DP World Careers | Assistant Manager – Automation Jobs in Dubai

The key purpose of this role is to support automation lead team in automation projects, running PoCs coordinating with other stakeholders to support on knowledge sharing as well to collect info. Role also, support to provide update for many potential solutions/improvements generated by our internal Research & Development, Innovation Programs, vendors or from any BU or RO.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist / guides in process modelling of all terminal equipment by looking into the dedicated system.
• Well versed with Industrial automation including HMI, PLC / CMS  necessary modifications in the PLC / CMS systems of the automated equipment.
• Assist in developing, writing, and maintaining a variety of reports, documents, correspondence, and records related to DP World decarbonization, automation and R&D initiatives.
• Analyse data from the database of equipment’s.
• Work closely with other stakeholders (R&D, IT, Energy, Technology, Operation etc..) to collect, analyse data, interfaces & models and provide recommendation.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, robotics, automation or mechatronics engineering or similar field.
• Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment.
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning.
• Experience with project management.
• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.
