Facilities Operations Manager



Meta is seeking an experienced and dynamic facilities professional to manage and work on operations, relocation, expansion and renovation projects across the PNW Region, North America. We are looking for someone who can manage multiple campuses/locations that exceed 3MSF with exciting growth ahead. This position will have a key role in embodying and supporting the community and culture of this market, delivering new spaces and implementing regional strategies to scale operations. This role will report to the West Region Facilities Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Regional oversight and responsibility for on-site management of facilities operations and services in traditional and serviced offices
  • Leadership role in working with site leads to develop and foster Meta culture
  • Work with Project Management, Real Estate & Facilities, Office Leaders, Workplace Design to help define scope of work for new builds, expansion, renovation projects to deliver best-in-class workplace
  • Coordinate office requirements for space planning, furniture, IT, and Security and other cross-functional partner to execute on operational expectations
  • Support events teams and partner with Events & Amenities leads in support of their strategic plans
  • Develop and manage budgets associated with Facilities OpEx annual budgets, forecasting, and CapEx planning
  • Support the advancement of the evolution of work and employee experience throughout the workplace
  • Manage communication and relationship with building landlords and Meta tenants where applicable
  • Lead client relationship management for all internal clients and ensure excellent and consistent levels of customer service delivery
  • Provide direction to onsite facilities management vendor team
  • Regional leadership of business critical/emergency resiliency planning and response execution to resolve promptly while ensuring minimum disruption to the business
  • Full oversight and responsibility of regional operations, strategy, programs and process to support 24/7 operations, critical systems backup, preventative maintenance, and asset management
  • Oversee regional alignment of standards in terms of hard and soft services including preventative maintenance delivery, janitorial, culinary operations maintenance, moves-adds-changes process, shipping/receiving operations and process including management of IFM contract including SLA’s & KPI’s
  • Management responsibilities of direct reports and provide support through ongoing career growth and development plans

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in facilities operations, site operations, property management leadership role or combination of education and/or similar industry experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience reviewing and understanding lease and vendor contracts
  • Experience managing campus environments
  • Customer service and relationship management experience
  • Strength in negotiating and influencing skills
  • Experience handling high level communication with leadership and heads of office
  • Experience working effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Bachelor’s/MBA preferred with preferred focus in business, facilities management, engineering, construction management, real estate, or property management.
  • Leased, owned, and retail commercial operations experience
  • Technical lab operation experience (cleanrooms, research & development environments)
  • Experience managing campus/site operations in multiple states/countries
