Description:
Purpose of the Role: The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes for our poultry farm. This role is essential in ensuring we hire, train, and maintain a dedicated and skilled workforce, ensuring our farm operates effectively and efficiently.
Skills:
- Recruitment & Selection
- Advertise job openings relevant to the farm operations.
- Screen potential employees, conduct interviews, and oversee the hiring process.
- Onboard new hires and ensure they undergo proper training.
- Employee Relations
- Address any employee concerns or disputes.
- Facilitate communication between management and farm staff.
- Organize team-building activities and events.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Manage payroll processes and ensure timely payments.
- Oversee employee benefit programs.
- Periodically review compensation packages in line with industry standards.
Performance Management:
- Set performance metrics and evaluate employee performance.
- Facilitate periodic performance review sessions.
- Provide feedback and suggest areas of improvement.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all HR activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Stay updated on labor legislation and inform managers about changes.
- Work with the farm’s safety officer to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in human resources, preferably within the agriculture or poultry sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training, and development, etc.)
- Proficiency in HR software, like HRIS or HRMS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws, safety regulations, and farm-specific requirements.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Working Conditions: This role may require occasional visits to various parts of the farm and interaction with farm staff in different capacities.
