Description:

Purpose of the Role: The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes for our poultry farm. This role is essential in ensuring we hire, train, and maintain a dedicated and skilled workforce, ensuring our farm operates effectively and efficiently.

Skills:

Recruitment & Selection
Advertise job openings relevant to the farm operations.
Screen potential employees, conduct interviews, and oversee the hiring process.
Onboard new hires and ensure they undergo proper training.
Employee Relations
Address any employee concerns or disputes.
Facilitate communication between management and farm staff.
Organize team-building activities and events.

Compensation & Benefits
Manage payroll processes and ensure timely payments.
Oversee employee benefit programs.
Periodically review compensation packages in line with industry standards.

Performance Management:

Set performance metrics and evaluate employee performance.
Facilitate periodic performance review sessions.
Provide feedback and suggest areas of improvement.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure that all HR activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Stay updated on labor legislation and inform managers about changes.
Work with the farm’s safety officer to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in human resources, preferably within the agriculture or poultry sector.
Strong knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training, and development, etc.)
Proficiency in HR software, like HRIS or HRMS.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Thorough understanding of labor laws, safety regulations, and farm-specific requirements.
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions: This role may require occasional visits to various parts of the farm and interaction with farm staff in different capacities.
