We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Assistant. As a Logistics Assistant, you will provide support in coordinating and executing various logistics activities to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials within our organization.
- Assist in the coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying contents, preparing documentation, and arranging transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, ensuring stock levels are properly monitored and reported.
- Assist in managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and organizing goods.
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Track and monitor shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or issues.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange transportation and track shipment status.
- Assist in analyzing logistics data and generating reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Familiarity with shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
