Description:
The job holder is responsible for performing facility maintenance activities with minimal supervision including preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Understand daily allocated work orders and ensure receipt of needed spare parts as listed in the work order
- Check the performance of ventilation systems, air-conditioning, and mechanical systems and repair them in a timely manner
- Execute carpentry maintenance, painting, plumbing, electrical services, and hardware installation and determine the necessity of repairs or maintenance ensuring that CCHI remains safe, secure, and well-maintained
- Check lighting control and main power distribution systems ensuring power is fairly distributed across CCHI
- Control fire alarm control units, gate barrier control units, and new power station system ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of CCHI facilities
- Execute all testing and services on electrical generator units and all electrical troubleshooting ensuring electrical problems are solved in a timely manner
- Classify required maintenance or repair based on priority of needs
- Perform routine maintenance activities and examine CCHI facilities following a pre-defined checklist to ensure smooth running of building systems and facilities
- Coordination for Security Guards’ weekly shift schedules and patrols and monitor performance
- Prepare specialist components, fixtures or fittings or any other required material and tools and perform assigned tasks without delays
- Report to Chief in case a tool was missing, or the maintenance instruction in the work order was not clear, to avoid delays to schedule
- Ensure that the use of materials is within the safety procedures in order to avoid accidents
- Test machine/ equipment/ device proper functioning after each maintenance action, and report any suspicious malfunction to Chief to avoid major defects
- Draft daily maintenance reports for reporting, planning, and decision-making
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma or equivalent
- Basic requirements of oral and written English language (Basic)
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in general maintenance, grounds-keeping or facility maintenance
