Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join the Culinary team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction in menu design and food production to ensure the Pastry operation achieves its goals and contributes to the guest experience and overall profitability of the hotel whilst maintaining Jumeirah Brand standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all tasks in the Pastry/Bakery operations are completed to ensure a successful opening according to Jumeirah Brand Standards
• Ensure that HACAAP and other local regulations are adhered to ensure the highest food hygiene standards.
• Assist each Executive Chef and/or Executive Sous Chef to run their kitchens with Pastry and bakery contribution at an acceptable food cost.
• Responsible to continually upgrade the Departmental SOP Manual, detailing standards of Performance, Policies and Procedures pertinent to the efficient operation of the outlets front and back of house in accordance with Jumeirah’s policies & Municipality requirements.
• Monitor and analyse the menus and product of competitive restaurants and keep up to date with international culinary trends to maintain a competitive advantage.

Requirements:

• In order to be considered for this role you will have at least two years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment.
• You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must.
• Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
