Responsibilities

• Conduct surgical procedures on infants, children, adolescents, and young adults
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
• Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss surgical procedures and answer questions or concerns they may have
• Collaborate with medical staff to design and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Maintain patient records and document all procedures in electronic health records

Requirement

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric surgery
• Valid state medical license
• Completion of pediatric surgical residency program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
