  • The Manitoba government is seeking highly motivated Red Seal Plumbers to work with the Department of Central Services in Portage La Prairie, MB and surrounding area.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with the ability to travel within the Province when required.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, Vulnerable Persons Check and Security Check.
  • Experience working with plumbing and heating systems in a large commercial, industrial and/or institutional facility.
  • Experience working with plumbing related legislated codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures and relevant safety policies and legislation.
  • Ability to plan and make effective work-related decisions.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and the general public.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working with SAP or related Maintenance Management software.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems, including DDC or related systems.
  • A Backflow Preventer Certificate (Cross Connectors Testing), a “B” gas fitters licence and/or completion of Asbestos Abatement training.
