The Digital Newsroom is looking for a dynamic Producer, Social Media, who will work with our Data & Analytics Team to generate compelling content for a young, ambitious audience of investors, entrepreneurs and rising executives in emerging markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceiving and generating social media content that resonates with our highly aspirational audience, in accordance with rigorous journalistic standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Generate interactive social content that aligns with our organisation’s central strategic vision: to help young investors and professionals in emerging markets take control of their lives by building their personal wealth.
● Monitor news output from the rest of the newsroom, to enhance Businext’s online presence and discoverability by nimbly generating interactive social content that complements newsroom videos and articles.
● Pitch original, interactive social media posts on investing, entrepreneurship or career progression that are proactive to news events while catering to an aspirational, money-focussed audience.
● Alert relevant producers and editors in other topic- and geography-centered teams to social trends that could be of relevance to their news judgment.

Requirement
● Experience as a social media producer in the fields of business, tech, money, finance or wealth.
● An understanding of complex tech, financial and banking topics, coupled with the ability to provide context and analysis that is easily comprehensible to non-experts without losing its insightfulness.
● Cultural familiarity with one or more of our target geographies: Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East and Africa.
● Degree or certification in journalism, economics, finance or a technology-related field.
