Radiation therapists operate machines, such as linear accelerators, to deliver concentrated radiation therapy to the region of a patient’s tumor. Radiation treatment may shrink or eliminate cancers and tumors. Radiation therapists are part of the oncology teams that treat patients with cancer.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with the written operating procedure on how to identify the patient correctly and ensure that the correct procedure will be performed before any procedure is undertaken.
• Ensure the radiation dose is delivered in accordance with the treatment plan.
• Keep continuous observation of the patient and operating parameters of the equipment during radiation procedures.
• Perform random checks of the medication stored in the units perform random or expiry of the medication.
• Documentation of patient information, assessment, and medication administration in patients MR.

Requirements:

• Graduate from recognized and accredited school of radiation therapy with minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital.
• Valid DHA license and BLS certification.
• Dosimetry experience is mandatory.
• Experience with Cybercide and Zomotherapy machines is mandatory.
• Proficient in English and Arabic.
