Description:

This role is responsible for managing Corporate Card Sales for the bank, including new client acquisition as well as managing the existing client portfolio. This is an Individual Contributor role

Responsibilities:
  • Own Corporate Cards Sales and Revenue KPI for one’s portfolio
  • Grow the Corporate Cards business through a combination of new client acquisition, as well as spends and portfolio growth from existing clients
  • Work with the various corporate relationship units in the bank (Corporate and Investment Banking Group, Business Banking, Merchant Services etc.) to identify opportunities to onboard new clients, build a regular sales pipeline and deliver on the monthly/quarterly/yearly KPIs for new client acquisition
  • Work with existing clients to understand their business needs and offer banking solutions to meet those needs in order to grow share-of-wallet from existing clients
  • Manage the Servicing needs for existing as well as new clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders within the bank to ensure the clients’ needs are met
  • Resolve client issues and complaints in a timely manner – work with CIBG on key service issues
  • Continuously look for opportunities to partner with Fin-techs and Payments’ companies to bring cash/money transfer payments to the Corporate Cards platform from a Suppliers’ as well as Receivables’ standpoint
  • Interact regularly with Schemes on new and evolving capabilities and Corporate Card platforms, and ensure implementation of such capabilities for existing and new Corporate Card clients
  • Regularly review and optimize the pricing and rebate structure for existing clients to drive spends growth and maximize net revenues
Requirements:
  • A Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Strategy, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of banking/payments experience and minimum 1 year of Corporate Cards Sales experience, preferably in the UAE
  • Knowledge / experience on Corporate Card or Retail Card management systems, as well as an understanding of market dynamics, competition products & services
  • Prior experience working with Schemes (Visa and/or Mastercard) is preferred
  • Strategic thinking – ability to understand the key dynamics and drivers of the Corporate Cards business; understand industry trends and visualize what new trends and technologies would emerge in the near to medium term future; and devise strategies to respond to such opportunities/threats to ensure the bank stays ahead of the curve
  • Tactical nous – ability to also understand the immediate and short-term priorities for the business and ensure timely actions to honor such priorities
