Responsibilities:

  • Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.
  • Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  • Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, room service side stations and delivers complementary in room amenities as set for the program.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

Requirements:

  • To provide a friendly and professional service that always exceeds guest’s expectation.
  • Assist in phone coverage with other departments.
  • Assist the department to upkeep relevant notice boards.
  • Prepare related paperwork for new hires.
  • Requires knowledge and the ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software plus other systems (i.e. Opera, Windows, Bayan payroll and analysis reports etc).
  • To accept responsibility for the health safety and welfare of all areas of the department, guests and employees and to respond properly in any hotel emergency situation.
  • To safeguard guests and employees with knowledge and application of health and safety, accident prevention, fire drills and first aid.
