  • Responsible for establishing, leading, reinforcing and reinventing (as required) the overall design aesthetic and principles of Time Out GCC and the wider Hospitality group across digital, print, application, video and all other media.
  • Responsible for the overall design and layout of Time Out’s stable of print products, as well as digital marketing activities and ad-hoc creative projects, in a fast-moving, deadline-orientated environment.
  • Responsible for creating and managing a monthly, quarterly and annual workflow system for Time Out’s group of products.
  • Manage and motivate a design team, including team members in overseas locations, and maintain a strong working relationship with the editorial and commercial teams.
  • Lead the continued visual innovation of the Time Out brand across new and existing media, setting structure and deadlines for all necessary collateral across all Time Out products and projects throughout the year.
  • Support the Editorial Director and Commercial Director by kick-starting and spearheading the development of new branding and marketing collateral at key intervals throughout the year.
  • Ensure all design projects are comprehensively translated across all Time Out platforms simultaneously, without prompting.
  • Lead the artistic direction across all of Time Out GCC’s annual awards and monthly calendar of events.
  • Determine what medium is best suited for a particular element and work with internal and/or external designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, product managers, etc. to make it live on deadline and on budget.
  • Ensure Time Out GCC’s market-leading standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, and visuals meet local and legal guidelines.
  • Support the Editorial Director and sales team by being an ambassador for Time Out GCC with regular attendance at brand events throughout the week/month, and other events as required by ITP Media Group.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the global design scene, new and emerging trends in digital, print, video and social.
