The Senior IT Pillar Specialist will be responsible to setup and configure projects & programs based on business demand/needs and accountable for successful delivery and support of these projects & programs in McDermott global environment. The Senior IT Pillar Specialist is expected to be a good communicator and capable of interfacing effectively with the team and end users. Additionally, must possess a strong hands-on experience on technical platforms and the ability to effectively collaborate with technical staff, understand threats, risk mitigation and technical controls.
Responsibilities:
- Support/Alignment between corporate and regional strategies – Construction & Fabrication focus
- Maintain relationships with key corporate and area Construction & Fabrication CM users
- Identify business technology / automation demands & needs
- Initiate new projects/programs to base on business demand/needs and accountable for successful delivery of these projects & programs
- Comply with IT project execution methodology and controls for the implementation life cycle including requirements, design, build and configure, test, train, deploy and support production
- Collaborate with global project teams, schedule and lead project meetings, testing and training
- Onboard and manage 3rd party project teams when necessary
- Collaborate with other IT Pillars and operational support teams for project delivery and issue resolution
- Align with business & IT leadership on vision, goals and strategy
- Communicate project status / support status to all stakeholders
- Must be an IT SME in process & technical knowledge of Construction & Fabrication processes
- Knowledge of key Engineering processes is a plus
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
- 5-10 years IT experience in Hexagon SmartPlant Foundation and related applications in Energy/ O&G Industry preferably in the EPCI sector
- Extensive configuration experience on SmartPlant Foundation, Smart Data Validator and Smart Construction
- Must have experience in Oracle and MSSQL RDBMS
- Additional experience in integration of Hexagon authoring tools
- Must be able to work with end users and gather requirements and provide solutions independently
- Written and spoken communication skills are critical
- Ability to work as a team member as well as act as team leader
- Have knowledge of industry engineering systems such as Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, etc.
- Have knowledge of reporting and integration tools such as PowerBI
- Maintain key competencies associated with the IT function such as document management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
