Job Description:
- Required proficiency in advanced software estimating tools
- price/forecast the cost of the materials required for change in as-tendered base design to final design per specific site requirements
- prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Support the evaluation of services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
- measure and value the work to be done at fabrication site
- liaise client stakeholders and other construction professionals, such as engineering managers, project managers and engineers
- Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Traveling from the office to various sites as may be required
Job Requirements:
- BSC in Quantity Surveying
- Chartered status from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- either an undergraduate degree accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction subjector a postgraduate conversion course (usually a Pg Dip or a masters) accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- 10 years+ experience in offshore construction and fabrication
- Numeracy
- A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a team
- The ability to negotiate
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
