Job Description:

  • Required proficiency in advanced software estimating tools
  • price/forecast the cost of the materials required for change in as-tendered base design to final design per specific site requirements
  • prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
  • track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
  • Support the evaluation of services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
  • measure and value the work to be done at fabrication site
  • liaise client stakeholders and other construction professionals, such as engineering managers, project managers and engineers
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Traveling from the office to various sites as may be required

Job Requirements:

  • BSC in Quantity Surveying
  • Chartered status from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • either an undergraduate degree accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction subjector a postgraduate conversion course (usually a Pg Dip or a masters) accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • 10 years+ experience in offshore construction and fabrication
  • Numeracy
  • A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in a team
  • The ability to negotiate
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
