Sourcing Specialist

  • Receive internal request for quotations from business units
  • Clarify requirements and prepare an external RFI / RFQ to be sent to selected approved vendors
  • Obtain quotations from selected vendors and perform evaluation of proposals in collaboration with Business units and under supervision of Sourcing Manager of the assigned category of spend
  • Perform negotiation with vendors to deliver the best possible value for money for the organization considering Total Cost of Ownership / Acquisition
  • Send internal recommendations to business units with green light to proceed with purchase
  • Prepare agreements as and when needed, in collaboration with Group Legal department
  • Issue purchase order to selected vendor
  • Set up blanket agreements for repeated orders as and when applicable

Job Requirements

  • Education/Certification and Continued EducationGraduate (any discipline)
  • Years of Experience3-5 years’ experience within a procurement function, ideally within a centralized procurement model
  • Develop a detailed technical understanding of the assigned commodity / category of spend
  • Build internal relationship with business units to proactively understand and gather sourcing requirements
  • Gain a wide market understanding on vendor capabilities, should costs, supply chain, etc..
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities are performed in accordance with internal policies and processes
  • Deliver within agreed department SLA
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in working on various simultaneous purchases / projects of various nature
  • Experience with ERPs in a must (preferable Oracle or JD Edwards)
  • Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing is desired
