A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician that specializes in preventing, diagnosing and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes and the respiratory system including the nose, pharynx and throat. … Administering immunizations to protect patients from diseases that are preventable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
• Diagnosing and treating conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
• Using and interpreting pulmonological exams and tests to aid in the diagnosis of cardiopulmonary diseases and conditions, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies.
• Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a doctor of medicine degree or equivalent from an approved school of medicine is mandatory, with not less than 3 years specialty training in an accredited PUlmonology residency program or equivalent degree.
• Relevant license as outlined by a nationally recognized Medical certifying body is mandatory.
• Active DOH license as Specialist/ Consultant Pulmonologist or equivalent.
