Description:
This position is responsible for the overall packaging of medication for our Long-term Care clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with runner to ensure accuracy at the end of the line
- Package medication and ensure packages are ready for drivers
- Packing for Community Living homes, Nursing & Retirement homes
- Packing for Nursing and Retirement homes
- Special projects, as assigned
- Cross train to other Pharmacy Assistant positions
- Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Previous packaging experience
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly throughout the day
- Must be motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
- Must demonstrate good listening skills and be adaptable to changes in job environment, procedures and tasks
- Dependable and responsible in the execution of job duties
- Excellent literacy skills and communication skills
- Ability to follow written instruction and verbal instruction
- Computer & technology literate
- Excellent attention to detail, accurate
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Highly organized, able to handle large volume workload, able to multitask
- Able to handle stressful situations, high sense of urgency
- Able to meet tight deadlines
