The Transport Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the team and operations of the transport unit with the support of the Head of Department, by actioning strategic plans, both long and short term, which are aligned to the overall business growth strategy. The individual will be required to support the overall objectives and tactics implemented at both a group and transport unit level, ensuring the transport unit has a viable solution that meets the wider operations needs. Your background should be from an international multidrop delivery operation, large city public transport, international transport business or similar

 Responsibilities

• Support the head of department in the management of the entire company fleet both own vehicles and leased vehicles, leading on contract renewals and negotiations, while continuing to improve asset utilization, safety, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure all planned scheduling requirements are met, be operationally able to ramp up/down based on seasonality and fluctuations
• Assist in developing and establish operating policies for Transportation with world-class industry and client standards
• Ensure the department is operating in compliance with all standard operating procedures appropriate
