The Video Editor is responsible for crafting creative stories with strong artistic and technical skills. This highly experienced Creative Editor can edit diverse styles including commercial spots, brand videos, animatics, web content, narrative, motivational, documentary and training videos.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides invaluable creative input on all projects and throughout the post-production process
• Work closely with creative teams to craft visually compelling creative stories under tight deadlines
• Be innovative while adhering to client brand guidelines — and when creating new campaigns
• Transform footage and narrative scripts into powerful visual stories for screens of all sizes
• Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to estimate required post-production time, work under tight deadlines, and have excellent communication skills
• Maintains quality control standards to ensure that all work meets the highest possible standards
• Demonstrates ability to set priorities while handling multiple projects
• Continuously explores cutting-edge, current, and unique edit work and applies them to projects
• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video’s creation
• Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present to clients and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video
• Creative experience in filmmaking and videography
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
• Proficient in creating story boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in film editing or related degree is required
• 6+ years’ experience editing and motion graphics
• Excellent knowledge in Premiere, Final Cut Pro and After Effects skills and have Photoshop and Illustrator skills that compliment editing and motion graphics.
• Should have worked on known brands ideally in a post-production studio, production house
