Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the head nurse /staff nurse
• Respond quickly to patents request for assistance.
• Assist with patient’s hygiene, elimination, mobility , physical comfort, physical preparation eating and drinking needs- while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse.
• Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patents room with in the unit.
• Daily cleaning/ dusting of all equipments and fixed items in the patents cabin (As per JCIA Guidlilines)
• Through cleaning of beds, accessories and preparing bed by placing bed sheets etc after every patents discharge.
• Linen segregation time to time assisting them at the time of sending to laundry.
• Helping in shifting, trandsferring patents to and from bed, wheel chairs, stretchers etc as required.
• Assist the nurses to get the indent items from the respective areas.
• Transporting specimens to the laboratory
• Act as a messenger as required
• Escort patents to and from radiology department as directed by the nurse on duty.
• Participates in any scheduled educational activities.

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate.
• Intermediate English skills preferred. Spoken Arabic advantageous.
• Demonstrate motivation to work in a health care environment
