Description

A reputed and large Real-Estate group in the UAE, with major projects coming up across the Northern Emirates, is looking for this position, the main shortlist criteria are as below

Job Responsibilities:

1. Effective and efficient management of Lawsuits and Claims filed by and/or against the Company.
2. Continuously monitor Lawsuits and Claims with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
3. Provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of Lawsuits and Claims risks.
4. Completes routine tasks and lead the legal work, including research, court filings and AHRED’s client communication.
5. In the pre-trial stage, consults with and advise clients; retain expert witnesses; attend pre-trial conferences and develop a trial strategy based on the facts and evidence.
6. Conducts an initial case investigation to determine, in the plaintiff’s case, if enough evidence exists to file a lawsuit or, in the defendant’s case, what evidence exists to defend a potential suit. The investigation process may include locating witnesses, taking witness statements, gathering documents, interviewing, and investigating the facts leading to the dispute.
7. Employs a variety of discovery devices to gain information relevant to the lawsuit. These devices include interrogatories, depositions, requests for production and requests for admission.
8. Is engaged in pre-litigation settlement discussions to resolve the matter before a lawsuit is filed.
9. At settlement, is engaged in negotiations with opposing parties; participate in mediations and settlement conferences with the parties and the judge; and create settlement brochures, agreements, releases, and other settlement materials.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with, laws dealing with government and/or non-government entities, particularly disputes negotiation, preparation, and administration.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Legal capabilities.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within real estate/ hospitality/ construction fields.

 

  • Graduate – Law Degree.
  • Relevant Experience
  • Eight (8) years and above of litigation experience.
