Description:

As the Group Communications Officer for Al Ghurair Investment, you are part of ‘narrating the legacy’ of this 60+ year old legacy business, as the Group Communications function serves as the leading central voice for our Group-wide transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

As part of the Group Communications team, you will play a supporting role in elevating the communications standard across the diversified business group, leading by example to set a ‘high bar’ precedent.
You will assist the Group Communications team in delivering internal communications activities and bringing campaigns to life;
You will manage the deployment of content across all online channels (primarily the Group intranet site, internal screen network and corporate website), ensuring that messaging is timely, well-placed and frequently refreshed;
You will manage content upload and refresh of the Group intranet site, and proactively look for ways to keep it updated and engaging including drafting short copy pieces;
You will be the owner of the Central Communications Toolkit and a central data bank;
You will play an active role in Group-wide GCEO events (Fit for Future Leadership Forums and Future Focus Check-Ins).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years’ relevant experience in a communications role.
Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
