Digital Content Editor

Are you passionate about digital content and making sure it meets the needs of stakeholders?

The University of Sheffield is in the process of reviewing legacy websites hosted on its cPanel platform. Many of these sites are suitable for migration to secure and better supported platforms, but further assessment of the sites and support is needed to achieve this.

We’re looking for a Digital Content Editor to lead this focused piece of work through to completion. This involves working with a range of stakeholders to find solutions to their website needs and ensuring adequate support is provided.

Together with a team of other digital content specialists, you’ll archive, delete and migrate sites, improving the structure, quality of content and user experience. This work will improve maintainability and sustainability and inform the future governance and direction taken to manage University affiliated websites.

You will have a good honours degree (or equivalent experience), experience of using a content management system and be able to write accurate copy for digital platforms. Knowledge of the higher education sector, as well as an understanding of cyber security in relation to websites would be ideal but is not essential.
