Fit Out Project Manager (Expo City Dubai) – Contract End December 2023  (MID00028S) Your Impact: 

Following the success of Expo 2020 Dubai, Jacobs joint venture’s Programme Management Consultant role has been extended to cover the Expo City legacy transition and legacy. Dubai’s World Expo was the first time the World’s Fair was hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region attracting 25million visitors. Expo City will build on this success to create a hub for business, leisure, entertainment and living.

In its role as Expo City’s real estate delivery partner, Jacobs is joint ventured in providing full-service consultancy including scheduling, project controls, cost and commercial management, design and delivery management to handover and contract close out.

Apply your Project Management skills on one the region’s most iconic projects, Dubai EXPO City until the end of December 2023. Jacobs have partnered up to form a joint venture that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related Programme management services for this major exhibition.

The exhibition will be hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region and it is expected to be a significant catalyst for growth for business across wider region.

As the Programme has moved into the delivery phase, the Management team are now seeking to appoint a number of Project Managers to actively manage and hold day to day responsibility for project delivery.

Reporting to the Project Director, as Project Manager you will lead and manage the processes associated with delivering the project to the requisite health and safety, time, cost and quality standards. You will Provide Leadership and decisive direction for the delivery function of the Project, across the various project functions including but not limited to risk, change, reporting, environment and sustainability.

Working with the PMC, you will manage the initial engagement of the consultants and contractors, carry out site engagement with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from operational facility to construction facility. You will be providing site-based Client PM direction to drive Consultant and Contractor performance.

You will also engage as part of the PMC Health and Safety Leadership forum to define and implement significant improvements in Health and Safety on site as well as support the Commercial Team with administration of the various contracts and act as principle point of contact between PMC and Engineer/Contractor.

 

 Here’s What You’ll Need: 

As a suitable candidate you will be degree qualified in a Project Management, Engineering or Construction discipline and will possess at least 8 years’ experience, with recent progressive project management roles demonstrating total project delivery.

You will be coming with the experience of coordinating multiple parties with the ability to facilitate meetings and mediate discussions. You will possess an excellent understanding of key project processes as well as sound construction industry awareness and will come with the ability to deliver to aggressive deadlines without exception.

Experience of working within the Middle East is highly desirable and ideally the UAE market. Preference will be given to those who are discipline specific professionally registered (CIOB, PMP, PMI, ICE, RICS).
