Description

A general counsel is a company or government department’s internal chief lawyer. The general counsel is a C-level executive who provides legal advice and acts as a legal representative. Also known as GC, Chief Legal Officer or CLO.

Requirements

  • Support the business by identifying, excluding, mitigating and managing contractual, legal and other commercial risks
  • Pro-actively co-ordinate and communicate regularly with the commercial teams (based in Dubai and in offices overseas) to ensure that the interests of the company are adequately protected
  • Assist the business to remain compliant with legal and regulatory risk management requirements
