Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documents including scope of work, ITT, addendum, clarification responses, drawings and specifications etc. and understand the marine installation scope of work.
  • Prepare technical clarifications / qualifications pertaining to the scope of work, drawings and specifications and submit them to the Proposal Coordinator.
  • Prepare & issue RFQ’s as required based on Bid subcontractor plan, relevant to installation discipline. Answer technical clarifications requested by the tendering Subcontractors, if any. Evaluate Subcontract quotations and make recommendations to the Proposals Coordinator for lump sum and miscellaneous costs.
  • Determine the sequence and equipment to perform the work based on availability, tender requirements and management bid philosophy. Provide tender resource and scheduling information to the Administration and Planning group for financial forecasting purposes.
  • Determine the crew make-up required for each phase of the installation work and the duration for the work, using historical records for similar jobs where applicable.
  • Prepare miscellaneous costs for offshore work including barge rig-ups / derigs, port clearances, project consumables. This will include input from Diving, E & M, Safety, etc. and identify all costs of compliance to the tender documents.

Requirements:

  • Graduate Engineer
  • Experience onboard installation vessels like crane vessels, derrick /lay barges, dive support vessel, cable lay vessels as field engineer/project engineer/installation engineer.
  • Experience in putting together marine installation estimate for proposal submission or projects.
  • 10 + years of offshore experience
  • In depth working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Conversant in Microsoft Project/Primavera
