We are looking for a dedicated project engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Assist the Project Manager in developing a comprehensive project plan, including defining project objectives, establishing timelines, and determining resource requirements.
  • Budget Management: Support the Project Manager in overseeing the project budget, ensuring all expenses are properly accounted for and that the project stays within the allocated budget. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate prices and achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for the client, maintaining regular communication to understand their requirements, provide project updates, and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the project.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, designers, contractors, and subcontractors, to coordinate their activities and ensure smooth project execution. Assist in assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving conflicts or bottlenecks that may affect the project timeline.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that the interior fit-out work meets the required quality standards and adheres to the client’s specifications. Assist in conducting regular inspections, performing quality checks, and addressing any deficiencies or deviations from the agreed-upon design and scope of work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in project management or project engineering role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of interior fit-out projects and associated processes.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
