 Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the strategic development of special education needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school, to support individual student needs.
• Lead the inclusion team- manage learning support teachers, LSA’s and support staff to improve pupil progress and attainment.
• Experience of using a variety of assessment tools to identify students’ needs
• Work with admissions team and phase Heads, to ensure all prospective students are accurately assessed prior to enrollment.
• Monitor and assess SEND students & Gift and talented students progress and attainment, including observations in the classroom and meeting with teachers and parents.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor or masters Degree in Special Education.
• A certified teaching qualification such as B.Ed.
• KHDA approval as SENCO will be preferred.
• At least 2 years’ UAE Experience leading a successful SEN team.
