Responsibilities
- Define a strategic medical plan for the pertinent therapeutic areas (including but not limited to HIV, liver diseases, antifungals, inflammation, cancer) in collaboration with the General Manager and other pertinent stakeholders
- Executes strategic plans consistent with the Therapeutic Area Medical Affairs Plan of Action
- Engage in scientific exchange and communication with external audiences in Gilead’s therapeutic areas of focus
- Responsible for ensuring the successful dissemination of innovative clinical information to thought leaders and foster medical and scientific information exchange from and throughout the specific disease communities.

Requirement
- Plans and monitors the departmental budget
- Change management leadership
- Participates in the exchange with the medical community and maintains a thought leader network
- In addition to the regional Middle East components the lead may have role expansion opportunities to support wider ICR leadership needs. Such expansions could include wider geographical support or participation/ leadership in above country ICR projects
